Life Occurences:
We survived. We thrived. Your passion for hiking/backpacking was reinvigorated. You attended your annual geek-fest (I mean Comic-con). Hannah entered official school, as in 1st grade - and is ridiculously good at reading. Adam is happy and stretching. Caleb is developing some quality chunk. All is happy. All is well. We've got a sweet life.

Top Songs - what? no honorable mention for Jack johnson? no nod to Colbie Caillat? I concur with the Weezer and Jason Mraz. You gotta be kidding me with the pop-up of MIA.

The Country list was excellent. Some songs I hadn't heard yet - thanks!

TV Shows: mostly we are together here. Missing: Bones and Pushing Daisies. Exceptions: Kitchen Nightmares should be higher, and forget Weeds, Californication or Dexter.

Movies: still haven't seen, but want to: Prince Caspian, Quantum of Solace, Australia, The Duchess, The Forbidden Kingdom, Hancock, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Mamma Mia, The Other Boleyn Girl, The Spiderwick Chronicles, The clone Wars, Traitor, Transporter 3, Tropic Thunder, Twilight, X-Files...

Want-See 2009: Monsters vs. Aliens (potential excellent Dreamworks), The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (fascinating concept - plus Pitt), The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (i have no idea what this is - but i like the name), Night at the Museum 2 (thoroughly enjoyed the first one), Dorian Gray (i sometimes love, and sometimes hate this story), Wolfman (could be fun?), Inkheart (has Andy Serkis - and not as Gollum!), Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (i'm a sucker for a good vamp-flick), The Wolfman (maybe?), Nottingham (Russell Crowe is always good), The Spirit (i don't know about the movie but it's Will Eisner and Frank Miller - we do like our comics!), Coraline (tricky. this is a Neil Gaiman. i enjoyed his 1602 stuff, but didn't American Gods...we'll see), and I am hesitant about SHerlock Holmes - it's not based directly from Doyle, but on comic books based on Doyle...and Downey Jr. Really? Really?

HAPPY new year - and hopefully my family will stop being sick soon to enjoy it...DOWN WITH FLEM!
