Happy Memorial Day!

Thank you to all who have served, do serve and will serve this great nation.

"It is during our most challenging and uncertain moments that our Nation's commitment to due process is most severely tested; and it is in those times that we must preserve our commitment at home to the principles for which we fight abroad."

Kevin Garnett and Sasha Vujacic: Which was worse?

Props to my friend Ray for initially making this observation.

Kevin Garnett got called for a personal foul for this:

Sasha Vujacic initially got called for a technical but it was changed to a Flagrant Two:

Let's hope in the Finals, the Celtics preferential treatment doesn't continue...Just to be fair though, the League should suspend them both for the first two games of the NBA Finals.

Arizona and Political Tacos

This is an inside joke and the joke is really a book. Hopefully, those of you NOT in on the joke can still find humor in it.

GOP Taco - aka "Family Values Taco" - Not made by illegals, homos or non-Christians. Best when eaten while your mistress reads the Bible to you.

Democrat Taco - constructed by illegal immigrants after a $500 million government program was created to show them step-by-step how to make a taco. Provisions made by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to ensure funding for this came only from white middle class tax payers.

Tea Party Taco - They won't eat the taco unless you can prove it was born...er...made in the United States. Other than that they want the government out of their tacos.

Nancy Pelosi Taco - Looks pleasant from the outside, almost fake but it is filled with demonic evil, not to mention, it will cause the world's most annoying laugh.

Glenn Beck Taco - TACO - Traitor Anti-American Communist Obama. He won't eat tacos because the founding fathers never ate tacos.

Harry Reid Taco - It's really a chalupa but isn't self aware enough to realize it.

Sarah Palin Taco - "I eat tacos all the time. All kinds, all different sorts, ya know, whatever taco they put on my desk, I just eat them up. I love me a good old fashioned American taco. It's what Reagan would have eaten so it's good enough for me, aw shucks."

President Obama Taco - Served to failing industries loaded with BILLIONS of dollars...er...ingredients. Not to mention, although many have seen the certificate, including Hawaii's Attorney General, we cannot PROVE where this taco was made.

Mitt Romney Taco - "I am categorically opposed to tacos as I prepare for my 2012 Presidential run even though as governor of Massachusetts I made tacos the official state food.

Ron Paul Taco - Tacos are an unnecessary part of the food industry and should be audited and then eliminated.

FOXNews Taco - "Tacos are...MUSLIM...wonderful additions...TERRORIST...to a dinner rotation...OBAMA...for many American...OSAMA...families across this...HITLER, STALIN, MAO...great nation."

MSNBC Taco - "Taco. We have no original material, we just react to the talking heads at FOX News. Taco. Taco."

CNN Taco - "The most trusted name in Tacos."

Jon Stewart Taco - "This f***ing Taco."

Random Thoughts on Ethics: Murder

New series here. Many subsequent posts to follow. Nothing gets people's blood boiling like hypothetical debates about ethics...

Why punish attempted murder less than murder? The one who attempted to murder is guilty of the same intent as one who completed the deed but should they be punished less severely for sheer incompetence?

Arizona - The Grand Canyon State

Since many of you already know my feelings on Arizona's new immigration law making it against the law to break the law...sigh...I thought I would look up and share some other wonderful laws about the last of the lower 48 states to join the union. A land stolen from Mexico in the US-Mexican war, or as they call it in Mexico "El Invasion Estadounidense de Mexico" or "The American Invasion of Mexico."

STATE LAWS:
* Any misdemeanor committed while wearing a red mask is considered a felony.
* There is a possible 25 years in prison for cutting down a cactus.
* Hunting camels is prohibited.
* Donkeys cannot sleep in bathtubs.
* It is unlawful to refuse a person a glass of water.
* When being attacked by a criminal or burglar, you may only protect yourself with the same weapon that the other person posseses.
* A class 2 misdemeanor occurs if one places a mark upon an American flag which is "likely to provoke physical retaliation."
* It is illegal to manufacture imitation cocaine.
* Children are not allowed to sing nursery rhymes after 8 pm.
* Elephants must have a bell around their necks to warn swans of their approach.
* You can't walk through a hotel lobby with spurs on.

COUNTY AND/OR CITY LAWS:

Glendale
* Cars may not be driven in reverse.
* You may not have more than two dildos in a house.

Globe - Cards may not be played in the street with a Native American.

Hayden - If you bother the cottontails or bullfrogs, you will be fined.

Maricopa County - No more than six girls may live in any house.

Mesa - It is illegal to smoke cigarettes within 15 feet of a public place unless you have a Class 12 liqueur license.

Mohave County - Anyone caught stealing soap must wash himself with it in public until it is all used up.

Prescott - No one is permitted to ride their horse up the stairs of the county court house.

Tempe - It is illegal to eat grass from any area where sheep or cows are grazing.

Tombstone - It is illegal for men and women over the age of 18 to have less than one missing tooth visible when smiling.

Tucson - Women may not wear pants.
