What was your wedding song?

Or what's your song with your current significant other?

I have to be honest. I can never remember what mine is. I know Deanna Carter sings it..

That's How You Know It's Love by Deanna Carter:

Since no one on the planet has ever heard that song, my original suggestion (and the song that secretly I consider "our song" because it reminds me of Nicole...and you actually hear this one on the radio) is:

Somebody by Depeche Mode:

"I want somebody to share
Share the rest of my life
Share my innermost thoughts
Know my intimate details
Someone who'll stand by my side
And give me support
And in return
She'll get my support
She will listen to me
When I want to speak
About the world we live in
And life in general
Though my views may be wrong
They may even be perverted
She'll hear me out
And won't easily be converted
To my way of thinking
In fact she'll often disagree
But at the end of it all
She will understand me

I want somebody who cares
For me passionately
With every thought and with every breath
Someone who'll help me see things
In a different light
All the things I detest
I will almost like
I don't want to be tied
To anyone's strings
I'm carefully trying to steer clear
Of those things
But when I'm asleep
I want somebody
Who will put their arms around me
And kiss me tenderly
Though things like this
Make me sick
In a case like this
I'll get away with it. "

I love you and hope I'm still what you wanted.

I remember when I was planning our wedding. I was worrying about every detail - including the song we should sing to. Everytime I asked for your opinion you just said you didn't care, the details didn't matter to you, and do whatever.

[Notable exception: our cake. I loved designing it together and I think it turned out beautiful. Even though we didn't even get a bite.]

We didn't really have "a song." Though there are many that remind me of you and how I feel about you. Like "Forever" by The Beach Boys. But, that was our pre-mission song since it talked about love .and leaving.

So, when I had to think of something... I love the song by Deana Carter, and it was the song that was stuck in my brain all the time post-engagement/pre-marriage.

"If you get out in the drivin' rain
Stand in the eye of the hurricane
And never think twice
If you turn your back on selfishness
Cause your thougts are for someone else
Cause they've changed your life
When you heart insists that you give it all
When you no longer fear the fall
And you just let go
When the past is finally dead and gone
Fate leads you somewhere to the one
That has your soul
No part of you questions
No part of you doubts
You're only sure this is what love's about
And nothing and no one can stand in your way
Or keep you from saying
What your heart is dying to say
That's how you know it's love
That's how you know it's meant to be
When the span of forever
Just never seems long enough
That's how you know it's love".

I remember singing it to you.

I've always loved "Somebody"...but, I didn't realize it had significance for you.

I love you.

Our wedding song was "Crazy Love" by Van Morrison.

I'm not gonna lie though, we don't really have a song. But I lobbied for "For Me This Is Heaven" off Jimmy Eat World's Clarity album. I love that song. I just think the lyric "Can you still feel the butterflies" embodies the feeling I hope my partner can always stir up inside me no matter how long we have been together.

Interestingly, I have no idea what our first dance was to- can't remember to save my life- maybe your brother would know, he was the DJ. I worried about every little detail, but Chris and I didn't have a "Song" so I left it up to Matt... it was good but, oh well. Chris and I are always picking our songs for each other, Reliant K has his song for me for instance ;)

Hey yo, I still have your Cap America and Punisher Max vol. 2. Both of which I enjoyed, but Cap was definitely better. I don't know if you guys will be coming by before the move or not, or if you just want to pick them up on the way, let me know when you're in town...

on that note (cause I haven't had occasion to talk to ya) CONGRATS on the new job and sweetened deal!!

Our song was "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole, so naturally I had to ask Amanda in order to make this comment and answer your question.
