Thats why I say leave the policing to the army. The Marines we kill'em all and let god sort them out. HAHAHA. Kinda of sick I know but hey we get the job done with what we have. When Marines die we regroup in hell so bring it on. Other countries don't play buy the same rules why should we. If we would go into battle once and open a major can of whoop ass other countries would think twice before messing with the USA. But they know how much they can push the issue with the media and are so called government and the push it. To many men and women are afriad to do somethings in combat in fear of punishment from the media or the government. Some of these things have helped save many American lives. All I'm saying is we should be on the same playing feild with who we are at war with. If they can hack or guys heads off on t.v. then we should have nothing holding us back. Alot of you might not like my anwser but it's mine for my reasons. Thanks from the American Irish. Semper Fi. God Bless the USA

Sonny, I can't say I disagree with your emotions but legally, we should just publicly withdraw from the Geneva Convention agreement if we have no intention of abiding by its precepts.

And Sonny, I'm not saying it should never be done. I think, in the event of imminent danger to American lives, an exception to the rule may take place.

However, I think those responsible for that decision should ultimately be held responsible.

I don't think it should be allowable for recreational interrogation (if that is even conceivable). But again, if lives are immediately on the line, it becomes an exception...not the rule.

The problem comes in trying to define imminent danger and when and where to allow it. It's such a slippery slope.

I agree with you about withdrawing from the Geneva Convention because one the only ones who follow it is us and are allies. Thanks for not thinking I'm a heartless person but I've come to my place in life from knowledge, trails, errors, and understanding.

As soon as our tactics match that of those whom we call Terrorists, we stop being the good guys. What then separates us, from them? When our practices become indistinguishable from that of our enemy, America has already lost what makes us great, our moral high ground.

I must say that for the most part I agree with Sonny. Marines think alike I guess!!

Pull out of that outdated, never practiced and worthless Geneva Convention. It does more harm to our troops than good.

I'm not a fan of torturing people. BUT, if my country and citizens are in danger, sign me up. I''ll torture the bastards!

Is it illegal? Yes. Has it always been illegal? Yes. Has it always been practiced? Yes.

Remember the golden rule: Do unto others before and as they would do unto you.

Jared sorry to tell you we are not the good guy's. The only ones who think that is us. All I'm saying is lets be fair stop blaming the men and women for one doing what they are told and for two tring to come home in one peice. If people knew we where a country that really had zero tolerance and proved it other countries would think twice before stepping on or toes or going to battle with us.

Sonny I can respect that stance. Because you are willing to say we aren't the good guys. Therfore I can totally get behind your logical stance.

My issue is with the people that want to have their cake and eat it too. The ones that don't see the double standard. Thankfully you don't seem to be one of them.

Thanks Jared for seeing my point of veiw I really respect you for that. I too hate those that want their cake and eat it to. I'm glad you can see other people's side of things and you don't just hold to your belief. If more people in this world could do that respect people for their opinions this would be a better world.
