I just kind of stumbled on your blogs today when my interest in the Gospel and my interest in punk rock converged. I just wanted to point out that that California Dreaming cover is not Pennywise, it is Hi-Standard from Fat Wreck Chords compilation "Survival of the Fatest":

Anyway, otherwise good stuff.

I always thought it was Pennywise too. That's the problem with music that was acquired in the old Napster days. So much stuff in my music library is mislabeled.

My favorite punk cover is one labeled as "Less Than Jake- 867-5309" but I'm almost positive it's not them.

Jared: if the cover you are talking about is the one I think, it's "Bracket". I have "Before You Were Punk" - a cover compilation CD. It's very fun.

TJ: Love the list. I have to say though, I am surprised that "Going to California" wasn't number one.

And really? homesick? Or just snow-sick. So far, this california girl is loving Utah.
