Just because he isn't a professional clergyman doesn't mean he doesn't give a sound opinion about civil rights in America.
He aptly pointed out that if the situation were reversed and there were a nation of gay married people trying to infringe upon the rights of Christians he would be standing up for the Christians.
That sounds more Christ-like than what the Christians have been doing legislatively as of recent.
