A few of my HAPPY California restaurants...
Vince's Spaghetti:
The Hat:
In-N-Out:
Casa Jimenez:
But my current favorite (and the best of Utah so far) are just the small taco stands in Salt Lake City that remind me of Tijuana...
Clockwise from the top : Al Pastor, Barbacoa, Carnitas, Lengua

In-n-Out is *awesome* I was so happy when we got one in our town (before they were an hour away)--then again, one more temptation on tired nights when I don't want to cook :)
Haven't heard of the other places, tho.
mmmm... i could go to any of those place!
but i must say, those tacos look good!!!
Lisa you have to make a pilgrimage to Ontario Ca. Just to try some Vince's. Of course I may be bias because I used to cook the food.
FYI, that taco plate is $3...
FYI......Those tacos are the only "decent" Mexican food you can find in Utah!!
Oh drool...
One of the few negatives of moving to Utah: the Vince's meat sauce is thinning out of my blood.
I still have to go with Grinder Haven (another Ontario gem) over The Hat. But, I know that's one of our irreconcilable differences.
I have to finally make a confession: I enjoy In-N-Out...but I don't crave it.
Casa J. I love that place. But, less for the food. And more for the tradition of it.
Tacos. Holy Smokes those look amazing. Tell me when, and I'll come and meet you for lunch. And I'll even be brave and try the lengua.
